Cardrona employs 220 ski and snowboard instructors and coaches every season. A large portion of those full-time staff come out of our own Instructor Training Centre programmes. When hiring new instructors each year, preference always goes to those that have trained with Cardrona ITC.

Almost all of our Cardrona instructors back their New Zealand winters with seasons in the Northern Hemisphere. They work all over the USA, Canada, Asia and Europe. Because we are linked so closely with the school these instructors can provide fantastic contacts and networks to all of these countries.

Areas of employment at Cardrona include:

• Under 5s - Level One and experience with preschool ages required.
• Kids Ski School - Level Two and experience with kids and/or Childrens' Teaching Certification required.
• Adult Ski/Snowboard School - Level Two and above, plus great people skills required.
• The Academy - Level Two, Coaches Level One and experience with kids all required.
• HPC - full certification and Coaches Level Two or equivalent, as well as coaching experience, are all required.
• Events - experience in working on events as well as specialist skills are required.

Cardrona employs staff from the last week of June through to the first week of October each season.
